Day 2

July 3, 2013

Wow!  It is such a nice and cool morning.  I went outside about 6:45 (why I got up so early you can ask Casey my cat) and it felt like March or October.  Yes, I know it is going to be 95 this afternoon but why can't we just live in the dream for a few minutes.

The reality of my situation really has not fully set in yet.  With it being a holiday tomorrow it really did feel like a vacation day yesterday.  I spent about 3 hours in the morning getting my Mac configured correctly and going through the first two lessons on iOS programming.   Everyone says that Objective-C is such an easy language.  I just don't see that yet.

In the late morning through mid-afternoon, my family went to Pedernales Falls State Park and took our new dog.  The cats were in full sleep mode.  Then it got very quiet and first saw the reality of this.  I certainly hope I find something soon because when school starts in August I will probably turn in to full Mr. Mom.  220, 221 whatever it takes.

The family got home about 3 and Amy asked if I would go to Costco for her.  I was so desperate to get out of the house, I jumped at the opportunity.  Costco was crowded with the pre 4th crowd and I strolled around and ate all of the samples.  Bacon wrapped jalepenos, hard boiled eggs, hot dogs, even the juicer guy was no match for my prowess in getting samples.  I bought what I needed to buy and got home.

At this point the girls were in full Minecraft mode, so I worked on my Raspberry Pi for a little while and called it a 'day'.  Whew!  I didn't know you could be so tired from doing nothing.

Today, I figured I'd pull an International Paper schedule and work half day so I'll let you know how that goes.

From an unknown location in South Austin.....over and out.
